Digital Citizenship Lesson PlanDigital Citizenship is a concept extremely important to teach in schools as it covers the ways we need to stay safe when we're online and recognize when the correct times are to share information as well as keep relationships and friendships safe even from behind a screen. It's important to learn digital citizenship when using technology in the classroom as I plan to do frequently. In this lesson plan, we focused on how online communication can affect your real life relationships. Students are taught in this lesson to increase their awareness of the conversations they have online.
The Indiana Academic standards in this lesson plan include: 3-5.IC.1, 3-5.IC.2, 3-5.IC.4, 3.SL.2.1 |

Computational Thinking Lesson PlanComputational Thinking is a way of solving problems using logic and mathematical thinking. It allows students to use ideas that are fundamental of computer science. The basic ideas of computational thinking include using a sequence of steps to solve problems, reducing a problem to its bare essence, and using tools to automate a solution to the problem. This lesson involves learning fractions and measurements to learn how to break down large problems that don't seem possible to solve into simpler problems. This lesson incorporates the use of Bee Bots.
The Indiana Academic standards in this lesson plan include: 3.M.2, 3.NS.5, 3.NS.6, 3-5.CD.2 |

Inquiry Lesson PlanInquiry Based Learning allows the students to go about answering a question that is presented to them in a way that is most efficient to them. In this lesson plan, students use multiple resources to retell a story. This type of learning leads to more motivated students as they are given the opportunity to be creative and take control of their learning. The main goal of this specific lesson plan is to use the emotions that the characters in the story use along with the five senses they use to interact with their surroundings to come up with a main idea. They will use the resources given to retell a story to others using these concepts and summing up the main idea to their audience.
The Indiana Academic standards in this lesson plan include: 1.RF.5, 1.RN.2.2, 1.RV.3.1 |

MicroteachingThis file leads to a video in which my microteaching is recorded. I taught my Inquiry Lesson plan that is shown above to the best of my ability with multiple adaptations and accommodations. I taught this lesson to an audience of 1 college student like I would teach a first grade class. Microteaching videos are useful when new teachers are looking for ideas and methods of implementing certain resources into their lesson plans.

Smore FlyerSmore is a website in which you can create flyers for certain events or occasions. When exploring Smore, I created a flyer for a potential Kindergarten class Open House. The flyer includes multiple elements that are useful to parents to inform them of what is going on and supply them with all the information they might possibly need including my contact info, location, and my educator website. This website could be extremely useful in creating flyers to hand out in the classroom to have my students bring home to their parents as well as sending the link directly to parents. It's an efficient and fairly easy way of getting the information out.
